Let's ensure our communities can cast their ballots with confidence.

What Is Election Protection?

Election Protection NV, powered by the Let Nevadans Vote coalition, is part of a national, nonpartisan effort to ensure every voter can safely make their voices heard. We work alongside a strong coalition of organizations across Nevada.

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering

is one way to serve your community and to be part of something larger than yourself. We believe being part of our Election Protection NV program can be a fulfilling volunteer opportunity, especially as we continue to see attacks on voting rights and democracy. Read on to learn what past volunteers have to say about their experience.

I saw firsthand...

“As an Election Protection volunteer, I saw firsthand the value of being present. By showing up, I was able to help voters feel safe, supported, and comfortable casting their ballots. It was incredibly meaningful to see the impact I could make simply by being there and helping ensure that every voter felt confident exercising their right to vote."

I felt educated...

“Volunteering with Election Protection allowed me to take my voting advocacy to the next level and encourage others to do the same. I felt educated, prepared, and proud to serve my community members in protecting our right to vote. I encourage anyone wanting to get involved to take the next step and volunteer with Silver State Voices & Election Protection.”

What do volunteers do?

Volunteers, known as poll monitors, are placed at vote centers across Clark and Washoe counties, as well as at select sites in other Nevada counties.

Inside observation: volunteers usually are seated in a designated area and monitor the voting process

Outside observation: volunteers are placed outside and monitor the lines and wait times
